God has laid a great vision in heart of Rajesh Gandhi for women empowerment. After the grand success of Afsar Bitiya Rajesh Gandhi came up with the totally new concept called “URBAN STITCH”. In nineteenth century and even in twentieth century a woman in India had to earn the living by sewing at home as such the idea of URBAN STITCH born in the mind of RAJESH GANDHI to make them capable of making designer clothes by special training and improve their sewing and living standards accordingly.

The main objective of Urban Stitch is to enhance the quality of life of women and young girls through enhancement of their skills and knowledge of sewing work. In order to cater to the needs of the women we provide vocational skills and training in tailoring and embroidery so as to enable them to be self employed and employable.

In this project, training are imparted free of cost. Students are trained or a month by a qualified faculty of INIFD (INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FASHION DESIGN) The project is intended to benefit women who are in the age group of 18 year to 30 year. We select women/girls from 4 different zones like Rajkot, Surat, Ahmadabad and Baroda. The best of trained female’s khadi garments will be displayed on super models of fashion industry in a fashion show in Ahmedabad on 2nd October.
